The Asia Logistics Forum 2024 will be held on 27th June 2024 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka. The inaugural Asia Logistics Forum, which took place in September 2018, gathered more than 200 delegates and we are confident that this year's event will also attract a comparable number of participants.
The primary objective of this forum is to bring together industry stakeholders in the South Asian region, fostering knowledge enhancement and further development of the logistics industry. During this forum, participants will have the opportunity to exchange new ideas and concepts aimed at improving the industry and its contribution to economic development.

Trilan’s professional journey began at Sea-Land Shipping in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and was later transferred to Salalah, Oman by Sea-Land Inc. He subsequently took on the role of Global Head of Operations & Stowage at Xpress Feeders in Dubai. During his time there, he was involved in network building in Europe and South America. Following this, he became the Head of Ship Management and Operations (Feeders) at UASC HQ in Dubai. Trilan then held the position of Head of the Region for Unifeeders in the Middle East.
Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer at Lanka Shipping & Logistics (Pvt) Ltd. He is responsible for Ship Agency & Marine Services as the SBU Head and is a valuable member of the management team. Trilan holds the designation of CMILT and has completed a Diploma in “Ship’s construction and Stability” from Singapore Polytechnic. He has also participated in a Master class in ballast water and energy management conducted by DNV-GL.
Air Freight Industry - Bilal Okur

Bilal is a seasoned professional in the air cargo industry, including 3 years as Cargo Operations and Revenue Management Specialist in Istanbul. He began his career in Istanbul in 2018 and serves as the Regional Manager for Turkish Cargo in Sri Lanka and Maldives for last 2 years.
He excels in managing complex logistics, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving revenue growth in competitive markets. With extensive experience in operations and revenue optimization, combined with a proven ability to respond swiftly to both crises and opportunities, he delivers optimal solutions in a rapidly changing market, which significantly increases Turkish Airlines’ market share.

Asanka joined Hayleys Advantis Group in 1988 and functions as Deputy Managing Director since June 2022.
He successfully completed his PhD at the Post Graduate Institute of Business Management, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the International University of America. Holds an MBA from the University of Wales and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He is a Member of Certified Management Accountants, Australia.
He held positions as President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka France Business Council and Sri Lanka – U.S.A. Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in the past. Currently he is the President of Sri Lanka – Bangladesh Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The Future of Mobility - Love Yadav

Love is the General Partner of Mountain Lion with 20 plus years global investment banking & asset management experience, He has lived and worked extensively in most international financial jurisdictions ie. UAE, UK, Malaysia, Singapore and held regulated positions with leadership roles. He also served as founding director and investment committee member for one of the largest India investment equity funds, which at its peak invested more than a Billion US$ into Indian listed space. His longest stint had been with Reliance Capital group where he spent almost a decade.
Over his career he has advised on transactions specially in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Middle East & Africa and within the last five years Love has been steadily building his venture build up portfolio and structured majority of his investments into a holding Company with Mountain Lion in Sri Lanka.

Resilient Supply Chains - Gayani De Alwis

Gayani is a versatile and impactful Supply Chain Management Professional. Nurtured and groomed at Unilever Sri Lanka for almost two decades she reached the pinnacle in her area of specialisation as the Director, Customer Service and Management Committee member of Unilever Sri Lanka Ltd. She was the First Female Director for Supply Chain and the First Global Lead Auditor from South Asia in Unilever.
Gayani holds a MBA from Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of University of Sri Jayewardenepura Sri Lanka and MSc in Food Process Engineering from University of Reading, UK. She did her undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa before moving to UK to complete her degree. She is also a Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM) from ISCEA, USA
Logistics Between Russia & Sri Lanka - Michael Golosov

Michael is a highly experienced logistics specialist with a broad range of skills that specializes in handling unconventional tasks and coordinating transportation to remote areas. His expertise includes managing the delivery of both project-specific and regular shipments to and from countries across all five continents, including challenging regions like Western Africa, Central Asia, and the Arctic. He is well-versed in overseeing the administrative operations of branches or departments within international logistics firms. Michael has expertise in providing assistance to international organizations in the areas of logistics and foreign trade.
He currently focuses on managing a business that specializes in the development of logistical IT services, production of transportation equipment such as labels and sensors.

With over 25 years of experience in the field, Ayaz has held various leadership roles in companies such as Emirates, Qatar Airways & Dubai World. He holds an MBA from Strathclyde Business School and has a strong track record of driving operational efficiency and improving customer satisfaction. In his free time, Ayaz enjoys socializing with friends and traveling with his family.
